Our Kompang Journey

Founded in September 2017, our kompang team was born from the camaraderie of a group of secondary school batchmates eager to pursue our shared passion for traditional kompang. Driven by a deep appreciation for our cultural heritage, we set out to revive and promote the art of kompang, a vital part of our community’s musical identity. Over the past seven years, our team has cultivated a wealth of experience, performing at over 500 events ranging from weddings and community celebrations to cultural festivals and corporate gatherings. Each performance not only showcases our dedication to the craft but also highlights our ability to engage and connect with diverse audiences. Our journey is marked by countless hours of practice, collaboration, and personal growth, fostering not only our musical skills but also the strong bonds of friendship among team members. Together, we strive to inspire others to embrace and celebrate our own passions, ensuring the legacy of kompang continues to thrive in our community.
